If you’d like to get involved with the 2025 Myrtle Beach Classic, scheduled from May 5-11 at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club, here’s your chance! New volunteer registration will open on Feb. 5 at MyrtleBeachClassic.com and stay open until all positions are filled. Returning volunteers completed their registration earlier this year.
Volunteers ages 18 and older are being recruited for gallery management, competition support, hospitality, operations, tournament services, players services, volunteer services, shuttles and more. Registration will also open the same day for junior volunteers, including standard bearers, ages 13-23.
“Year one exceeded our expectations, and we are building to be even better the second time around,” said Darren Nelson, tournament director. “With the backing of our sponsors and support from our business community and public, Myrtle Beach has proven to be a great home for a PGA TOUR event.”
Chris Gotterup won the inaugural Classic in 2024. The Myrtle Beach Classic was the first-ever PGA TOUR event to be held along the Grand Strand.
The inaugural event drew more than 40,000 fans and delivered some memorable golf moments, along with the additional entertainment of two free concerts, corporate hospitality options, and a public Fan Zone. It also received rave reviews from the professional golfers.
The Myrtle Beach Classic is managed by SPORTFIVE, a global event management company. The local event will again be one of two stops in the Palmetto State for the PGA TOUR in 2025, joining the RBC Heritage in April at Harbour Town Golf Links.
