The Legends Golf Resort is Myrtle Beach’s iconic “stay here, play here” destination, drawing tens of thousands of golfers every year with 54 holes, a premier golf academy and the area’s largest circular range practice facility. And the Moorland course at Legends showcases the legendary Dye course design overseen by P.B. Dye.
Commonplace of Dye designs, water is an integral feature incorporated throughout this par-72 layout, along with signature bulk heading. While players will find the rolling mounding, generously wide fairways and multiple-tiered greens an enjoyable challenge, they’ll undoubtedly never forget the spectacular scenery created in this natural setting. The back nine of the Moorland course includes an incredible five-hole finish with holes secluded amongst Carolina pines. The par-5 15th Hole requires careful navigation around a invasive creek running the length of the hole. The drivable par-4 16th is a great risk-reward challenge with a classic P.B. Dye elevated green surrounded by deep bunkers and a collection area to the right of the green. And the finishing 18th Hole is an idyllic dogleg left par 4, equally challenging as it is beautiful.
