As the 2025 PGA TOUR season makes its mainland debut Thursday at The American Express in Coachella Valley, California, three of its many storylines feature very recent, prominent ties to “The Golf Capital of the World.”

Play Golf Myrtle Beach has teamed up with Aaron Chewning, the co-founder of St. Andre Golf, to launch a fresh and innovative video series, “Course Cases with Aaron Chewning.” Set to debut on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, the series combines Chewning’s signature comedy with the beauty and challenge of seven premier Myrtle Beach golf courses.

Marked by a three-hole finishing stretch that’s unrivaled in the Myrtle Beach golf landscape, Glen Dornoch Waterway Golf Links is one of just a handful of designs with multiple holes playing along the scenic Intracoastal Waterway.

Golf in Myrtle Beach had an absolutely amazing year in 2024. Along with the usual staples like Monday After the Masters, the World Am, and nearly 3 MILLION ROUNDS played, we hosted the area’s first-ever PGA TOUR event, the Myrtle Beach Classic. We also saw a massive amount of work and investment poured back into our golf courses, bringing stunning aesthetic and playability improvements for both visiting and local golfers alike. Though we’re only two weeks into 2025, here are some of the things the author is looking forward to most in the upcoming year!

Caledonia Golf & Fish Club and True Blue Golf Club have earned the prestigious 2025 Platinum Award from the Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM), marking another national honor for each course. The coveted distinction recognizes the Top 100 golf shops worldwide, celebrating excellence in merchandising, customer service, and retail operations across public, private, resort, and off-course golf facilities.
