Panther’s Run and International Club, a pair of courses that have long delivered outstanding golf and value, have reopened to glowing reviews after installing new greens earlier this summer.
International Club welcomed golfers back on July 16. The course resurfaced its greens with Sunday Bermuda and used the time to tidy up tee boxes, bridges and collars around the green.
Panther’s Run, one of the famed Big Cats at Ocean Ridge Plantation, reopened on July 19 with new TifEagle Bermuda greens, the strain of ultradwarf that served its sister course, Tiger’s Eye, well through a challenging winter.
“Everything has been very positive and both member and outside play have had nothing but good things to say,” said Bill Long, Ocean Ridge’s director of marketing. “Our greens are going to be in peak condition this fall on all courses. We expect the Big Cats to have some of the best greens in Myrtle Beach.”
In addition to installing new greens, Panther’s Run did some work on the course’s perimeter, and the Tim Cate design should leave golfers purring this fall.
