Hi, I’m Blair O’Neal, host of The Golf Buzz, presented by Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday.

I look forward to bringing to you frequent video updates on everything that is hot in golf –

We’ll be taking a look at what’s new in golf equipment and apparel. We’ll share tips to lower your scores, and we’ll even offer a few suggestions on getting your body ready for several straight days of golf.

Our show is produced in Myrtle Beach, so we’ll be taking you to the courses, restaurants, and other points of interest that make Myrtle Beach the golf vacation capital of the world.

And we’ll be keeping an eye on our hometown PGA TOUR star, Dustin Johnson, on and off the course.

I look forward to getting better acquainted with our audience over the next few months as we travel around Myrtle Beach. I’ll be blogging and tweeting so you can share what’s on your mind and we can share with other golfers.

Let me begin with a brief introduction of myself:

Born in Illinois, raised in Arizona, I grew up on the golf course.  I began playing competitive golf on the American Junior Golf Association circuit, and earned a golf scholarship to Arizona State University, where I played for 4 years and was team captain my senior year.

I’m sure you’ll agree, there’s nothing quite like crushing a long drive. I’ve won several long drive championships and was ranked among the longest hitters in college golf.

Soon after graduation from ASU, I turned pro and also became a certified golf instructor.  If by now, I look a bit familiar, it could be that you are a fan of The Golf Channel’s “BIG BREAK” where I have appeared as a contestant in Prince Edward Island.

Or maybe you’re a subscriber to Sports Illustrated, a magazine that was conceived about 50 years ago right here in Myrtle Beach.  One of the most popular issues is the swimsuit issue.

I’ll be the first to admit, I lead a very exciting life that has opened the door for me to travel and discover new places, including Myrtle Beach.  

There is so much to discover and enjoy here.  Over 100 hundred courses – many ranked among the very best in America, dozens of really great restaurants, miles of beautiful beach and other wonderful attractions.
