Of the many honors regularly bestowed upon it by Golf Digest, the Myrtle Beach golf market now adds a new one with the publication’s recent inclusion of the Grand Strand among its “11 Best Golf Trips That Offer the Most Bang for Your Buck.”
In connection with the relaunch of its “Best Places to Play” initiative, Golf Digest lists Myrtle Beach along with Northern Michigan, Alabama, Colonial Williamsburg, Orlando, Tampa, Minnesota, West Point (Miss.), San Antonio, Chattanooga, and Mesquite (Nev.)/St. George (Utah).
Of Myrtle Beach, Golf Digest says it “has long been a staple on any list of best golf trips. For good reason: the Grand Strand boasts nearly a hundred courses, many of which offer stay-and-play packages that combine value with quality golf.”
In addition to citing Tidewater Golf Club as one suggested course for visiting golfers to consider, the publication also recommends two of the Grand Strand’s multicourse resorts: Barefoot Resort & Golf, home to the Fazio, Love, Norman and Dye courses; and Legends Golf Resort, featuring its Heathland, Moorland and Parkland designs.
