ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike in the Morning Show Returning to Myrtle Beach

Mike Greenberg, Mike Golic and Darius Rucker share a laugh in Myrtle BeachAmerica’s most popular sports talk radio hosts, Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic, will be making a Myrtle Beach golf trip again this spring.

ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike in the Morning Show will broadcast live from Barefoot Resort’s Dye Club from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Monday, April 9, as part of the 18th annual Hootie & The Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am. The show will also be televised live on ESPN2.

It will mark the second consecutive year Mike & Mike has broadcast from the event, which is the largest one-day charity event in South Carolina, and attracts a star-studded field.

“Spring is the perfect time to take a Myrtle Beach golf trip, and Mike & Mike in the Morning is an ideal vehicle to broadcast that message to America.” Bill Golden, president of Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday, said. “It was great having Greeny and Golic here last year, and we can’t wait to do it again.”

Monday After the Masters attracts some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment – Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer, Bill Murray, Samuel L. Jackson and Dan Marino have previously played – and the presence of Mike & Mike will only enhance the event’s appeal.

Last year hundreds of people arrived before dawn to watch the show in its entirety. Greenberg and Golic signed autographs during breaks – when time allowed – and entertained fans. Among the guests who appeared live on the Mike & Mike set were members of Hootie & The Blowfish, Jim McMahon and John Daly.

Monday After the Masters raises money to benefit education in South Carolina and the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation. The event has raised more than $3 million for charity in its nine years at Myrtle Beach.
