Round 2 action at the 2023 Short Par 4 Fall Classic in Myrtle Beach was in full swing Tuesday with flights competing in a Texas scramble combined score format at six courses, including World Tour, Long Bay, Pine Lakes, Tradition, Prestwick, and Arrowhead.
A full field of 670 players from 37 states and Canada, traveling from as far away as Hawaii, are playing the 2023 edition of this popular season-ending competition.
The Short Par 4 Fall Classic is contested as a two-person team event over four rounds, with daily formats varying by round (Round 1 Best Ball, Round 2 Texas Scramble-Combined Score, Round 3 Best Ball, and Round 4 Scramble/”Captain’s Choice”). Scoring is based on net results using a percentage of each player’s handicap.
Short Par 4 gift cards will be issued as prizes to the event’s top finishers, with each member of the first-place tandem from each flight receiving a $300 gift card. Second- and third-place team members each receive $150 and $75 gift cards, respectively.
As part of their entry fee that includes four rounds of golf, each player also receives a TR2 Range Finder courtesy of Short Par 4, commemorative accessory, a $50 restaurant group gift card with Homegrown Hospitality, a sleeve of Titleist Pro V1 golf balls, and a post-tournament luncheon where awards and random drawing prizes will be distributed.
