Well the last few rounds I’ve played I’ve been holding on for dear life and today the wheels finally came off… like my boy @matthewalawless says “it was a handicap maintenance day.” But what a incredible hang with Glenn @thumper3190 this lefty is a baller!!! He’s a master club builder with @peoplesgolf and cohost of @flatstickfocus_golfwrx so we got to nerd out and talk shop!!!! Go check this guy out!! His a great golfer and even a better dude!!! And his beard game is strong too!! Before becoming the country’s most well-known modern golf architect Tom Doak built his second course, Legends: Heathland in Myrtle Beach, SC, in 1990 as an homage to British golf. Maybe because it’s not on the ocean or because Myrtle Beach is such a golf-saturated area, but it feels like this one flies well under the radar for the quality of golf. Tons of short grass, some gettable fives, driveable fours, big, interesting greens, and some of the best bunkering you’ll find.
